Artist's Comments

Another photo taken the same day as "Autumn in London I".

Not entirely satisfied with that one, but submitted as I quite like the natural framing of this photo due to contrast and shadows.

This is the sort of photo that I like :)
I like the fact that the buildings in the middle appear to be reaching up into the sky, even though the whole image is famed by a building
(does any of that make sence? Its 3:03 am )

Shadow. Beautiful. Blackfriars Bridge?

I wonder, have you used Photoshop on this or any other programme?

This Autumn seeps slowly into Winter. And I like it.

hi alex.. it's very nice and well framed, although i would suggest to work more on the 'post-production' side of your shooting workflow. as you may notice, you can very easily tell that this images comes from a digital camera because it's too filled with medium grey tones.. and it's an effect that makes the b/w image dull, i reckon. i would suggest you to play around with photoshop's levels in order to cut the mid grays dramatically and enhance the contrast between black and white [look at my 'lonely girl' shot for an example of what i mean..]. and no matter if you burn part of the sky.. after all, good film photos do that too. you'll end with giving your images a whole new touch, my friend :)

:aww: really love the b&w!

I really like the pillars on the left, they just give the whole scene so much oomph. The tone is cool, gives a scifi kind of vibe. And how spooky is it when your eye finally finds that person at the bottom. Very cool shot.
